365 Days of Wine
There is a Red Burgundy for every day!
January 27, 2010
Genuine Burgundy nose and palate. Dark cherry fruit and slight smoke on the nose. A supple palate of red cherry fruit, touches of earth, tar and smoke. Bright acids allow it to pair well with food. I had it with a grilled ribeye and spinach souffle and it stood up fine. Retail is about $17, which is not bad for good Burgundy these days.
Will this wine set the world on fire? Nah. Is it good, sure. Great, well, not hugely but the price is right and the quailty is worth the price of admission, especially given t he alternatives. Finally a Wednesdy night Burgundy!
Drink this wine!
