Rob Moshein - The Austin Wine Guy

Another $11 winner. Nice for Saturday

February 06, 2010

Yet another winner from John at The Austin Wine Merchant.  Mom is home from Cedars. Doing well, thanks. Lovely sunny day, 60's and clear.

Ch. de Donjon, Minervois 2007

The nose is  tarry, in  a good way, Black fruits, pepper. The palate is medium body, nice acids but not at all heavy. Blackberry, pepper, tar and earth, but never heavy on the mouthfeel. Nice pairing with anything wanting red. Started it with one of my favorite "junk food" movies "Beerfest" starring my bud Paul. I love Saturday evenings.

Looking forward to the rest of the bottle with "Murder on the Orient Express" on BlueRay. It will work.

Drink this wine!

Cheers,

Rob Moshein, Austin Wine Guy
